This is a non-diving course. Anyone can take this course. It teaches you to handle emergencies that you may encounter in life and provide care to people victim of a mishap and give them a better chance of survival or recovery. You only provide care till the professional medical personnel take over and hence calling for them is the most important step. The course covers Primary Care which teaches you to provide care to patients who are under life threatening situations and Secondary Care which teaches you to help patients who are ill or injured. Scene Assessment, Barrier use, Primary Assessment, CPR, Managing Serious bleeding, Shock or Spinal Injuries, Choking, Injury or Illness Assessment, Bandaging, Splinting, etc. Refresher course can be conducted for those whose certification has lapsed.
